Port of Nigg Rolled Tubular Facility

Community consultation sessions will be held on the 11th and 25th of June at the Duchac Centre, Tain from 14:00 - 18:00, regarding the proposed Rolled Tubular Facility including associated access, infrastructure and landscaping areas at the former Nigg Oil Terminal, Nigg.

A Proposal of Application Notice (PoAN) has recently been submitted to The Highland Council for this development. This is a statutory requirement for major planning applications and developers are required to engage with the community to assist in the shaping of the proposals, understanding local concerns and opportunities.

The proposed Rolled Tubular Facility at Nigg will be a state-of-the-art manufacturing operation designed to produce large-diameter steel tubular components primarily for use in offshore wind and other renewable energy infrastructure projects. The facility will incorporate advanced machinery, quality assurance systems, and safety measures to deliver high-quality outputs while maintaining environmental and operational standards. Its strategic location within the Port of Nigg allows for efficient onward transport and assembly, supporting large-scale renewable energy developments both nationally and internationally.

Further details on the community consultations sessions and proposed development is available within the below PDF documents.
