Job Function:

The Cost Controller will be responsible for managing and monitoring all financial aspects of project delivery and operational performance across our business. This role is critical to ensuring cost efficiency, accurate reporting, and alignment with our strategic objectives.

We are entering an exciting period of growth and we want you to join our expanding team as a Cost Controller to become an integral part of a dynamic organisation, that’s shaping the future of energy solutions. This is a ‘hands-on’ role where you’ll have exposure to budgeting and forecasting through to cost analysis and reporting.

In this role, you’ll track and control project costs, prepare detailed reports and provide insights that influence decision-making. You’ll work closely with our operations directors, commercial leaders and finance teams, to ensure budgets are met and variances addressed. From monitoring expenditure to supporting month-end processes and forecasting future costs, you’ll be involved in every corner of cost management. You’ll also collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless financial service and contribute to a culture that’s efficient, innovative and forward-thinking.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

• Relevant experience in cost control, finance, or accounting in a similar/relevant role.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and analytical skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in the energy and maritime industries.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and react to changing deadlines.
